Rhetorical Galleries Present: Artists: In Residence, an exhibition of twenty recent MFA graduate from the ASU School of Art who have lived in the Valley for more than a year after completing their education.
The Masters of Fine Arts program at the Arizona State University, Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, School of Art has encouraged, challenged, and nurtured many talented artists throughout the decades. And although a trend has been for students to come to Arizona to live for a few years in the desert only to leave after their studies are complete, many artists stay and become strong mentors and anchors in the Valley artist community. This exhibition highlights these artists and the bonds that they have forged in the local art scene.
